Can I pause my subscription?

Yes. Whatever the reason might be, you can always suspend renewal payments on your subscription for up to 24 months.

You will still have access to the software until you latest monthly subscription license expires. And then after the set number of months are up, your subscription will automatically attempt to renew to your chosen payment method. If the renewal is successful you will then get access to the software again and continue your subscription as normal.
