It's sort of similar to a sweeping comb filter.
Flanger Creates a flanging effect by mixing the audio with a slightly delayed version of itself. The length of the delay can be adjusted manually and modulated. Optionally, this effect can also add a phase shift between the dry and wet signals to create an infinite barberpole-style flanging effect upwards or downwards.

Depth of delay modulation. Added on top of the minimum delay set by the delay knob.
Enables the phase offset and motion functions of the effect.

Feedback of the wet signal back into the delay line.
Flanger is part of a large number of effects units from Kilohearts that we call "Snapins".
Snapins are regular effects plugins that also work as modules in our Snapin hosts; Phase Plant, Multipass, and Snap Heap. They are lightweight but powerful plugins that present you with the important settings in a no-nonsense way. Every setting and component is clearly documented so you know exactly what goes on when you turn that dial.
Snapins can be purchased individually or you can save big by buying a collection of Snapins in one of our Kilohearts Toolboxes.
